CARDIOPULMONARY EXERCISE TESTING

VO2 Max Testing

$200

per test

Performed on a medical-grade cycle ergometer with breath-by-breath gas analysis and continuous heart rate monitoring. Treadmill testing available by request for seasoned runners — cycle ergometry is the default protocol for safety and data quality.

This isn't a gym estimate — it's clinical-grade data. Ventilatory thresholds (VT1 and VT2) define your aerobic and anaerobic training zones with a precision no wearable can replicate.

VO2 max is the single strongest predictor of all-cause mortality. This gold-standard cardiopulmonary exercise test measures your body's maximum oxygen consumption during progressive exercise — the ceiling of your aerobic engine.

WHAT'S MEASURED

  • VO2 max (mL/kg/min)

  • Anaerobic threshold / ventilatory thresholds (VT1, VT2)

  • Heart rate zones and recovery

  • Respiratory exchange ratio (RER)

  • Metabolic equivalents (METs)

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • ~45 minutes (including warm-up and recovery)

  • Sign consents upon arrival — bring your photo ID

  • Avoid heavy meals 2–3 hours prior

  • Wear athletic clothing and shoes

WHO THIS IS BEST FOR

  • Anyone who wants their single most predictive longevity biomarker measured

  • Athletes optimizing training

  • Anyone building a longevity baseline who prioritizes fitness as medicine

Add-On: Continuous Lactate Monitoring — $100 Coming Soon
